Bridcage Brooch

This is a brooch with a birdcage inset surrounded by pearls. The ruffle and background are the text from a penguin book.

Washcloth and Soap

I have knit this cotton washcloth with a rib so that it's good for exfoliation and teamed it with a Brown and Harris English soap. I'm making them in turquoise too and if you'd like a set they're on ebay.

Mini Cardigan & Hat

Here is a commission for a little girl. It looks really sweet with flower buttons and the hat to match, which has a little stalk at the top. It's garter stitch with crocheted edges.

Tie

Andrew has asked for a tie. It's knitted in double knit viscose and is really cool, just like my Grandad used to wear. See me modelling it. I saw a guy in Covent Garden wearing one just the same.

Mobile Cover

When the guy in carphone warehouse offered me some pedestrian covers for my new phone I told him I'd knit my own! He advised that I make sure it protects the touch screen. I tried to find a cute one in the gift shops without success, hence my next project. The crocheted flower is for the side of the touch screen.

70s style cushion

This cushion reminds me of the 70s. I've knit a lacy outer out of pure new wool and made the inside out of a really pretty liberty style print (see the heart I've made with the print) for the cushion inside and fastened the outer with mother of pearl buttons. The material and buttons are from Sally Bourne Interiors, I bought the wool from a charity shop in Yorkshire.

Christmas Tags

Inspired by Jessy's use of the pages of old books I've used the pages of an old penguin book to attach twine and create tags for my pressies.

Corsage

Here's a corsage I created at a Jessy Chorley workshop held at Sally Bourne Interiors, in Crouch End.
It's made from the manuscript of a hymn 'I know he is mine' and the title is centre stage. Apt for Easter. Have a look at Jessy's website, she creates some beautiful things.

Baby Veg

These are hand knitted mini veg for babies. I put bells inside so they can be used for rattles and fill them with baby friendly stuffing. They're really cute for older children to play shops with, and to teach them about health eating. They're knitted in bamboo cotton and along with the filling they're machine washable so if they're dunked in food or drinks all is not lost.
